SLOW FOOD TO CITTASLOW

In Italy in 1986, carlo pentini and his friends started the "Slow Food" movement to protect local values from the destructive impact of globalization, and soon became a mass and international community.

According to the Slow Food community, each city, every region has its own line, texture, color, taste, smell and these characteristics are indispensable values. It must be defended without compromise. In 1999, inspired by the philosophy of the slow food movement in Italy, four town municipalities came together to form the "CittaSlow Municipalities Association", which wanted to bring slow food values to the size of city management. Today, 282 cities from 32 countries, including Köyceğiz, are members of this union.

FROM CITTASLOW TO SLOWSPORTS

Globalization has transformed every aspect of everyday life as well as leisure activities. It incorporated recreational activities into the population area of the consumer industry.

Based on the philosophy of Cittaslow, the SlowSports community object to our leisure spaces being a consumption base and believes that a fairer, cleaner, better sport is possible. He states that industrial sport cannot meet people's demands for a more adequate body, a more competent soul, and aims to bring people's desires to rest, have fun and refresh with the healing power of nature by moving Cittaslow values to "leisure" areas.

A canoe is a flat-type, single-paga-driven, light and portable boat. The word canoe came from the Caribbean word kenu and was translated into Spanish as canoa. Caravans designed for the accommodation of circus workers in the late 19th century were later used by gypsies living in Europe. After the developments in the automobile industry, caravan types called "motorhomes" and used without the need for a towing vehicle (caravan integrated with the vehicle) were made. Today, two types of caravans are used, namely motorhomes and trailers. Both types have their own advantages and disadvantages. For long stays, a tow caravan is preferred, and for short-term stays, a motorhome is preferred. The trailer does not need much depreciation other than tire wear. If freedom of movement is at the forefront, motorhome is the reason for preference.

In this sport, streams are divided into six grades according to the level of difficulty. If entering the 6th degree streams, it consists of the most dangerous and difficult tracks, which can have fatal consequences, while the 1st degree stream is an easy level course where people of all ages can easily do rafting by wearing the necessary safety equipment.
